There haven’t been new posts lately, have there? I’m sorry, I just don’t feel like I have that much to write about. I have been packing and throwing things away for the last few weeks. YOu never realize how much shit you have accumulated until you have to move it all. On a good note- I have gotten rid of a lot of stuff I never needed in the first place. The next move (this summer) will be much easier.

I have been able to find pretty good presents for most of the folks on our christmas list. I did most of my shopping on line this year. It was so much easier, but I don’t feel the holiday spirit yet. There really is something about slogging your way through the overcrowded, reeking mall listening to the same tinny, regurgitated christmas music as last year and the year before and the year before that to put you in the mood to hate the human race. And isn’t that what christmas is all about? Hating humans but appreciating the ones you love? (see, I’m not that hard- hearted)

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone. I have a pretty vintage party dress that I can’t wait to actually wear to a party, so we’ll have to have one for new years or something. I just need to find shoes to go along with it. You’d think that I’d have at least one pair from the 2+ years I worked as a salesperson, but none of them are quite right. And now I’m spoiled by good shoes and I can’t bear to go to mervyn’s and pick up a pair- I just can’t do it! All the shoes I really want seem to be in the $200+ range. I guess I have good taste? (and no paycheck!)

I have applied to the junior college back home. I am going to take a life drawing class to expand my portfolio. It’s the closest I can get to being in grad school right now- not very close, I know, but whatcha gonna do? I think my mom might take it with me, which would be fantastic.

Off to pack! See some of you soon!!!
